23334 God’s Master Plan for Me

“For I know what I have planned for you,’ says the Lord. ‘I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10)

  • God chose me for an everlasting relationship with Him. (Acts 17:26-28; Ephesians 1:4; 1 Peter 1:1-2)
  • God wants me to experience His best for all eternity. (Psalms 40:5; John 10:10; Romans 12:2)
  • God has given me the freedom to choose; however, He has not given me freedom from the consequences. (Psalms 119:30; Galatians 6:7-9)
  • God has given me a new identity in Christ so that I am able to live supernaturally. (2 Corinthians 5:17; 2 Peter 1:3)
  • God created me to please Him (John 5:30; Colossians 1:10)
    • by pursuing intimacy with God (Matthew 22:37–38; Ephesians 5:1)
    • by becoming Christlike in my character (Romans 8:29; 2 Corinthians 3:18; 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24)
    • by building up others in Christ (Ephesians 4:12; 1 Peter 4:10)
    • by being His Kingdom ambassador to those who don’t know Him (Matthew 5:14-16; 28:19-20; John 15:16; 2 Corinthians 5:20)
  • God expects me to live by faith, trusting Him to help me and the Holy Spirit to empower me. (Proverbs 3:5-6; 2 Corinthians 5:7; Galatians 3:3; Ephesians 3:16; Hebrews 11:6)
  • God plans to develop my character through adversity. (Job 23:10; James 1:2-4; 1 Peter 1:6-7)
  • God formed me with a S.P.E.C.I.A.L. DESIGN for a unique mission. (Psalms 139:13-16; Jeremiah 1:5; Ephesians 2:10)
  • God wants me to cooperate with Him so that together we will fulfill the mission He has for me. (Deuteronomy 13:4; Job 22:21; Matthew 6:33)
