22002.06 God Is Always With You

God never wants you to go it alone. He is with you all the time and will never leave or forsake you. In fact, he even goes ahead of you to prepare the path before you get there. He is with you every minute of the journey.

The Bible declares,

The LORD Himself goes before you; He will be with you. He will never leave you or forsake you. Do not be afraid or discouraged. (Deuteronomy 31:8, BSB)

You may go through dark valleys. There may be detours and cliffs on either side of the road. But there is no reason for you to feel anxious or discouraged. God hasn’t forgotten you. He is right there with you—listening to you, loving you, and desiring a closer relationship with you. Lean on him when things seem hopeless and he will give you the love, strength, and encouragement you need to take the next step.

We are never meant to go through a crisis alone. God brings all sorts of people into our life– family members, friends, allies, co-workers, teachers, mentors, even strangers at times. They can be the vessels God uses to bring comfort and relief.

You are not alone. Jesus promised,

I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:20, AMP)

Throughout your life, God is with you even before you acknowledged him as God. Now that you believe in him, you can focus on his presence at every step of your journey.

Just because you acknowledge his presence in your journey, that does not always mean it will be smooth sailing. The current crisis may last longer than you wish, and your situation may get even worse before it gets better. You don’t yet see the light at the end of the tunnel.

The good news is that God is always with you and will be there on your journey. Even when you feel like you are alone, he has not forgotten you or left you. He is right there with you because he highly values your relationship with him. He will comfort you, encourage you, and give you strength. He will even make you laugh!

Moses understood the importance of God’s presence in his journey from Egypt to the Promised Land. Moses requested the Lord for his presence to go with him.

If your presence does not go with us, do not take us up from here. For how will it be known then that I have found favor in your sight, I and your people? Is it not by your going with us, so that we will be distinguished, I and your people, from all the people who are on the face of the earth? (Exodus 33:15-16)

Moses had a history of being with God and learned to remain close to him. He knew the “secret” of his journey was the presence of God.

He is with you. Focus on his presence for every step of your journey.
